Locust bean gum is a thickening and gelling agent used in the food industry. LBG is obtained from the endosperm of the seeds of the carob fruit (Ceratonia Siliqua), after a de-husking, de-germination and milling process. LBG is one of the most important hydrocolloids used in the food industry. Its specific qualities include: a high content of galactomannan; unique functional properties; and it is completely natural.

G. A. Torres S.L. manufactures a range of high quality LBG products under the brand name “Torresgum”. Torres has developed a new technology using state of the art machinery that allows them to produce a more natural food grade LBG. The brand new factory allows for an environmentally friendly production process.
